Valerie has been helping in the Children's Ministry at Trinity for the last few years, and loves to spend time with our Teachers and Children in Sunday Morning Classes, Journey Discipleship, Vacation Bible School, and Preteen Camp. She is now a part of Trinity Staff as Director of Children's Ministry.
9:30 and 11:00 AM
At each hour, we have three classes – 1st and 2nd grade, 3rd and 4th grade, and 5th and 6th grade – with caring teachers. We follow a teaching plan called “The Gospel Project”.
- During this time, we ask that all children and students birth-12th grade are registered for Sunday morning Bible Study by Thursday of each week to allow planning for adequate staffing and space.
- You may click here to learn about the extra precautions and measures Trinity Baptist is taking at this time to ensure the health and safety of your children.
Sundays 9:30 & 11:00 AM
We value family worship at Trinity. Wee Worship is for children Kinder-2nd grade who are learning to worship with their families. During our family worship service, just before the sermon, our caring leaders and Wee Worship students step out for a lesson just for them with an emphasis on what worship is and how we worship together. Children return to their families in worship before the end of the service. This is offered in the fall and spring.
- Wee Worship is not meeting at this time.
Sundays 4:30-6:00 pm
Sunday Evening Discipleship is kind of a church word for encouraging one another as we learn to be like Jesus. Children who come back on Sunday afternoon for The Journey learn worship and spiritual growth skills that help them well beyond their grade-school years. Our fast-paced program involves learning games and activities, scripture memory work with challenges and rewards, and exposure to missionaries working around the world, and Kid’s Choir time. We have a lot of crazy theme nights just for fun. This is offered in the fall and spring.
(Expressive Praise Instruments for Christ)
Our 5th & 6th graders can also join Team E.P.I.C., they are the “up front” leaders in kid’s worship during Journey on Sunday Evenings with song, dance, and scripture. Their goals are to serve the Lord, to be Godly examples to the younger children, to lead others in worship, and to grow as leaders.
Access 56 is what we call our preteens. We challenge our 5th and 6th graders to be leaders through experience and example. They have higher expectations in personal devotional habits. They also have special events just for fellowship and fun.
We have an Access 56 gathering on select Wednesday nights. Please take a look at our events calendar for upcoming dates.
We also have a great time at our annual Preteen Camp each summer.
VBS (Vacation Bible School)
Vacation Bible School is an exciting week long summer experience at Trinity. It includes fun-filled Bible exploration, crafts, games, and Worship . VBS is a highlight of the summer for our church and community. For grades 1-6.
Preteen Camp is an action packed 3 day out-of-town retreat for children who have completed grades 4-6. We travel to a nearby Christian camp each summer for bible learning, outdoor games, and exploration.
